Life’s a road trip in a strange land.

It’s up to you which hitch hikers to take with you and which turns (not) to take. Rest stops, sightseeing. What’s your path and how are you going to pass?

How, when and where : it’s the people with guts who decide on the drive. Rabbits in the headlights are just objects meant to be passed.

Lurking. Always there, at the back of my mind.

Splitting the second between the smile and the tear. Memories dancing- one step forward, two steps back. And my heart goes up in my throat, hesitating to which extreme end of emotions it should belong.

What goes around comes back around. But somehow I am not happy about the context, I am happy about the unexpected sentence which started it .Happy in the way of the grown ups. Satisfied. Not needing more. But not dreaming like a child, either. These kind of illusions went in a coma on the wet wooden floor of a winter mo(u)rning. The line evened later. Peeeep. And in a flash it was gone.

…Each line is different. Especially when it starts having its peaks again. But it takes time to feel as alive, after such low. Heart beats fast, it draws back the blood in. But it’s still almost transplanted. Detached, aware of the inevitable…Or not?

Deep below, in the shuttered fundaments, the memories twitch with their beauty. And ask- should we be able to stay? I don’t know. Future’s the only thing which can give answers to our present questions …about the past.

But somehow I know I did the right thing.

The only thing worth doing. And the old smile is finally back. More determined. Freer. More generous. Bright sun, even under the autumn rain. The smile is back. And I’ll do what it takes for it to stay. Because it is who I am. And that’s the only way I want to be loved.

A single Muse is a privilege to be savored passionately. The Muse appears and you’re smitten. It cannot be looked for because its very nature is to overwhelm when it is least expected. Until then could we not enjoy multiple (in)animate muses? Gather a piece from each like a bouquet in a garden. Like an abstract composition which only makes sense after the final brushstroke and from the other end of the room.

Hold on to transience! It’s the only thing you will ever truly have. That’s the curse and that’s the beauty of it. Kill what kills your Inspiration, because no Love is greater than what you truly value in Life. If you value anything at all…

Love should turn you upside down. Not just down.

Inspiration is a word too easily granted to mediocre things. The Muse is sacred. The poetry of creation is fusion between idea(l)s. Love-making. Not just a cheap fuck.

The muse is a reflection of the artist. For better or worse.

I am a sucker for keepsackes. I hold on to memories like a drowner on the Medusa. Yet I think it is time to let go. The eddy’s getting too violent. It’s sucking me in and I’ll drown if I don’t drop this in the deep water.

Transition.

One element into another. The deep waters- I’d like to set them on fire.

Don’t burn bridges, the wise men say, You never know when you’ll have to pass that river again. I will take my chances for I would rather drown trying than walk on broken pieces of lies. Fragments of half-truths. Arranged deceivingly to look as stable ground, whereas gazing emptily over the void that’s beneath. I know I am walking on broken glass, why do you insist it’s pieces of caramel? Have I not my own eyes, my own feet that burn with pain to the soles?

Be kind(er). Be true. Lies are instruments which sometimes help us survive in the trickiest of moments. But when you soak your entire embrace with them, they are quite honestly Murder.

And I want to live!

Standing on the shoulders of giants we walk through endless sandstorms of gold. Touching the water, our feet itch from the salt and our hair smells of seaweed and sun. The waves will wash out the prints but our marks will be there forever.

Growth

Тhere is nothing more fascinating than the concept of growth. Not just change, but change in a positive, more demanding direction. There are no universal catalysts of growth: what can drive one person to excel can be the very fall of another. Some people never grow at all for they are all too feeble, to unable to digress, to reassess, to re-challenge. Others find sources of re-definition in the most unlikely of places. In obstacles, in muses, in temptations overcome or yielded. The whole point is: if you do not grow, you’re doomed to go down, stuck in limbo.

There is no such thing as “staying in the same place”. The Red Queen paradox is that this same place will take you nowhere if you don’t grow with it, outgrow it, and re-arrange it. Tie at the finish with those who start. Outrun your own self and then outself the run. There’s this mathematical magic behind things, this curiosity of pattern we have the ability to change if we find the Will to. The inspiration. And I must admit: I am fucking Inspired by it!
